Parenting Techniques For Families With Special Needs
|
It is not our job to tell you how to raise your children. We can however provide tips and resources that might make your journey a little less stressful and maybe even help the lonliness feelings to go away. You are not alone, and that is the whole point. Your story may not be exactly like the next person, but they might be able to relate in one way or another. This blog is to serve as a resource to help you to see that you are not alone and that other families might be going through what you are going through and there are resources out there that can help you to realize that you are a good parent no matter what your struggles and challenges are. We see and hear stories every single day of parents who feel that they are not good enough for their children, or that they are failing or have failed their children, because they are physically, mentally, and emotionally drained and exhausted and don't have the skills, tools, or outlet that they need to let their anger and frustrations go, maybe without unintentionally taking it out on family, friends, and loved ones and deep down we know that this is not okay, and not our intention, but we haven't found a tool to help us through this process.
